Must be certified or be able to become certified within one year of employment by the Arkansas Law Enforcement Certification Training in accordance with ACA 12-9-106, or an approved law enforcement training academy. Must have certification or be properly authorized to carry a weapon for law enforcement duties. Qualifications: 21 years of age or older. Able to pass a criminal background check. Possess a police officer certification from ALETA, or able to attain ALETA certification within 6 months of hiring.
