Elevate your career as a Sanitation Supervisor at The H&S Family of Bakeries where you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the utmost cleanliness and safety of our plant during your assigned shift. This key position involves coordinating sanitation efforts, overseeing dedicated personnel, and ensuring strict adherence to both food safety standards and company policies.
- Oversee and lead all warehouse employees/clerks to ensure the accurate reconciliation of incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Conduct weekly inventory assessments on packaging and ingredients with precision and compliance.
- Process, store, and manage orders for all goods stored in affiliated warehouses, utilizing the FIFO method.
- Supervise inventory par levels on packaging, ingredients, cardboards, and Kwik-loc, addressing any discrepancies.
- Ensure warehouse security, safeguarding loading docks and adjacent areas to prevent theft.
- Organize items, placing them in appropriate and safe locations, considering factors like temperature, size, weight, available space, and exposure.
- Communicate effectively with vendors to determine shipment schedules, efficiently managing space and inventory.
- Supervise all warehouse employees, handling scheduling, hours, hiring, training, job bidding, job performance, and terminations.
- Assist in scheduling to ensure adequate labor for equipment operation, shipping, and receiving.
- Collaborate with the Transportation Manager on inbound and outbound inventory.
- Conduct internal audits to ensure food safety compliance, addressing areas such as pest control and sanitation.
- Establish and maintain warehouse practices and protocols, creating an efficient and safe environment for all employees, contractors, and visitors.
Safety:
- Cultivate a safe working environment for all employees and contractors.
- Actively participate in accident investigations.
- Champion employee safety across all operational areas.
Sanitation:
- Uphold an impeccably clean work.
- Ensure consistent adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Prior experience in plant sanitation, with a preference for two or more
- Demonstrated knowledge in pest control and related
- Demonstrate physical capability to navigate all areas of the plant
- Exhibit flexibility in reaching, bending, stooping, climbing, pushing, and pulling as needed in a production environment.
- Comfortably navigate ladders, crawl under equipment, and work in confined
- Proficiency in using sanitation equipment and tools, with adept arm, hand, and finger
- Capable of prolonged standing and executing movements such as squatting, bending, and stooping.
- Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds, coupled with a readiness to wear protective clothing and equipment as needed.
- Showcase effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Possess the ability to read, comprehend, and implement safety procedures, signs, and instructions.
- Demonstrate a willingness to perform additional duties as determined by management.
