Title: Operator Technician - Receiving Inspection

Shift: 1st Shift

Hours: 6:45 am to 3:15 pm

About the Role

As an Operator Technician in the Receiving Inspection role on the Quality Team at our Manufacturing Center of Excellence (MCoE) in St. Louis, MO you will use various inspection and testing methods to ensure incoming supplier materials are conforming to requirements, identify and quarantine nonconforming materials, create nonconforming materials reports, and create Supplier Issues in the Quality Issues Management System (QIMS). In addition, you will learn and apply knowledge in other quality support processes (e.g. calibration, First Article Inspection, special product testing, etc.).

Your Key Responsibilities



  • Inspection of incoming supplier materials to validate conformity to specifications.
  • Identify and quarantine nonconforming materials.
  • Complete required material movement transactions in business system.
  • Document nonconforming materials in nonconforming material reports.
  • Create Supplier Issue reports.
  • Work with Supply Chain team to ensure timely disposition of nonconforming supplier materials.
  • Maintain Key Process Indicators (KPIs) and take action on opportunities to improve the process.
  • Learn and apply knowledge in other quality support processes (e.g. calibration, First Article Inspection, special product testing, etc.).
  • Demonstrates excellent interpersonal listening and communication capabilities
  • Setup, program and use measurement and test equipment
  • Review and complete necessary data capture.
  • Other responsibilities, as required.



Required Qualifications



  • Experience in the use of various measurement tools/gauges, electrical equipment, temperature & power controls, temperature sensors, and fluid control devices.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and Outlook



Desired Qualifications



  • Preferred Two-year degree or Technical Certificate or related experience (3-5 years).
  • Enjoys developing new relationships and working with others.
  • Ability to embrace change and be flexible in work assignments and accept re-prioritization when necessary.
  • Ideal candidate would be a Watlow team member who is currently in an Operator Tech or Lead Operator position.
