Job Description

Keysight's High Frequency Technology Center (HFTC) in Santa Rosa is seeking an R&D Manager to lead a growing team of process engineers responsible for Heterogeneous Integration of semiconductor technologies. This team develops and manufactures System in Package (SiP) modules that enable New Product Introductions (NPI).

The Engineering Manager will lead wafer-level assembly processes, and will have additional leadership opportunities in semiconductor fabrication, heterogenous integration, and factory automation, in partnership with fab operations and equipment teams.

The Engineering Manager will be accountable for yield, cycle time, quality, on-time delivery, and execution of overall manufacturing and research goals. This position involves significant technical depth, managing teams of scientist and engineers, and leading technical projects.

  • Technical experience required in:
    • Design for manufacturing
    • Semiconductor fabrication
    • Heterogenous integration
    • Module electrical and reliability testing
    • Wafer-level and PCA-level assembly
    • Die attach: flip chip, thermocompression bonding
    • Surface mount technology: adhesive dispense, pick and place, solder reflow
    • Automatic Optical Inspection (AOI)
  • BS, MS or PhD in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, materials science or related technical field.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience as a technical leader or team manager

HFTC is part of Keysight Labs, the core R&D organization that enables Centers of Excellence and other business groups to provide RF, microwave, mmWave, 5G and 6G solutions to customers in various industries, including communications, aerospace & defense, automotive & energy, general electronics, manufacturing, and semiconductor industries. HFTC technologies include InP and GaAs-based HBTs, HEMTs, and diodes, as well as high-frequency System in Package (SiP) and PCA subsystem solutions.

California pay range: MIN $153,000- MAX $255,000
