Wellness & Benefits Program Administrator

The Wellness & Benefits Program Administrator is responsible for all aspects of the corporate wellness program, assist with benefits administration, and create benefit communication strategies and content.
Though this is a hybrid position, candidate must reside in the Kansas or Northwest Missouri area and be able to be in-office at least a few days each week; and possibly in-office full-time initially while training and onboarding.
This role does not have any direct reports.
What You Will Do:
  • Plan, design, implement and evaluate a comprehensive wellness program with a balanced emphasis (e.g. financial, nutrition, physical health, and mental/emotional health) that continually meets the needs of our employees.
  • Develop benefit education & wellness educational programs to provide awareness, motivation, and resources for employees in an educational and easy to read format.
  • Research and develop wellness challenges that will appeal to the workforce.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies that raise awareness and educate employees on available benefits, the wellness program and other related topics.
  • Work with external vendors regarding benefit usage, wellness program, prize ordering and more.
  • Weekly administration of wellness program; including mail merging of emails, updating excel and intranet databases, coordinating distribution of prizes and answering questions.
  • Gather, analyze and report on various facets of the wellness program to evaluate effectiveness and make changes as required.
  • Assist with benefit administration to include reviewing and updating material and presentations.
  • Protect and maintain the privacy of employee information in all personnel systems and records.
Our Ideal Candidate:
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects within a deadline driven environment.
  • Competent in Excel and Word.
  • Excellent written communication skills and the ability to write motivating and educational content taking into account audience perception and adoption.
  • Knowledge of employee benefit programs and their administration.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Strong initiative.
  • Positive customer service and people skills.
What Will Put You Ahead:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, human resources or related field.
  • Minimum five years in a professional capacity writing content or working in employee benefits.
  • Previous experience with corporate wellness programs.
