Overview
Special Security Representative Be the Difference Astrion offers comprehensive services that boost preparedness, optimize performance, and ensure success across various domains, from Cyber to Digital, Mission and Systems, servicing our nation's Civilian, Defense and Space communities. We support customers with Centers of Excellence in Washington DC, Huntsville, AL and Burlington, MA with an additional 36 locations across the U.S. Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Special Security Representative to provide 552 ACW Special Security support for the E-3G Mission and Flight Simulator Training Facility (Consolidated Simulator Building), located at Tinker AFB. Overview: Works as the Physical Special Security Representative for the 552nd Air Control Wing (ACW) Consolidated Simulator Building (CSB). Ensures the protection of the CSB Special Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) and Special Access Program Compartmented Areas (SAPCAs). Oversees the management and coordination of access control related to operations. Responsible for access cards, the inventory control of access cards, database management, electronic systems management, and the overall security of the systems. Prevents unauthorized personnel, equipment and materials from gaining entry into the SCIF and Compartmented Areas. Assists the 552 ACW Special Security Officer (SSO) with the local procedures for the CSB SCIF, security measures and personnel access. Determines civilian, military and industry Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security access, actions and training for aircrew and personnel. Situations may arise when fully cleared contractor personnel must perform opening and closing security duties unescorted in ACC spaces. In accordance with the 552 ACW/SSO open and close policies and procedures, contractors are authorized to perform these duties with the SSO and GSSO or his/her designee's permission and if mission allows and/or requires it. In addition, fully cleared contractor personnel may be placed on the key access or open and close access list with the SSO and GSSO or his/her designee's permission and if mission allows and/or requires it. It is the responsibility of local Government management to establish and maintain internal procedures to protect the controlled items (this includes classified information) under their supervision. Access to secure areas should be limited to persons who are authorized to receive or have knowledge of the particular classified information or activities contained or conducted in that area and have a verified need-to-know. It is also the responsibility for contractor personnel to follow these internal procedures to ensure continued compliance with ACC policy. During base shutdown/inclement weather, or Wing Commander directed down days, telework may be authorized as approved by the COR. This approval must be obtained in advance of teleworking. The contractor will perform tasks outlined in the task order as indicated by the customer.
